Aikaterini Vasiliki Stefou (Miss Catherine)

Aikaterini Vasiliki Stefou is a graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA). She received an Award of Excellence in the 4th year of her undergraduate studies for achieving the second-best performance in the history of the Department.

She graduated with Hons and was later admitted to the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme “Translation-Translatology” of the School of Philosophy of the UoA. On the grounds of her academic performance, she was offered a Traineeship at the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) of the European Commission in Athens and won a postgraduate scholarship from the Onassis Foundation, to which she belongs as an active member today.

In 2018, she was awarded the 1st Prize by the European Society for Translation Studies as a member of the translation team of the book “Translation in the Digital Age” by Michael Cronin. She has been teaching English as a Foreign Language for more than a decade and belongs to our school’s team where she continues her work with dedication and enthusiasm.

Anastasios Stefos (Mr. Tasos)

Anastasios Stefos is a graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a postgraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh. He ranked 11th nationwide in the Department of English Language and Literature through the Greek National Examinations and was awarded an undergraduate scholarship for academic excellence by the “Afon Zosima” Foundation.

During his undergraduate studies, he received an academic excellence award for his outstanding performance in his fourth year, funded by the “Pantias Rallis” and “Mari Kamara” legacies, achieving the highest academic distinction in the history of the Department. In the same year, he was awarded the Greek Scholarship to participate in the Scottish Universities’ International Summer School (SUISS) 2014 at the University of Edinburgh.

He graduated with honours and continued his studies in the programme “Special Education – Learning Difficulties / Dyslexia” at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Following a scholarship awarded by Tsinghua University, he attended the Tsinghua International Summer School – Experiencing China 2017 in Beijing, where he graduated with distinction. Later that year, he pursued postgraduate studies in the MSc programme Literature and Modernity: 1900 to the Present at the University of Edinburgh. His extensive international academic and teaching experience, both as a student and as an educator, makes him a highly valued member of our school’s educational team. 

Alexander Stefos (Mr. Alex)

Alexander Stefos is a graduate of the Department of English Language and Literature of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA). He has been teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) for over 40 years. His long experience and plethora of students of all ages who have learnt to speak and love the English language and culture is the reason why our school was founded. Focusing on the need of the user to understand and speak English correctly, Alex has contributed to the effort of many learners to further their studies in foreign Universities and pursue a professional career both domestically and abroad. Being the Director of Studies of our school, he keeps trying to guide our students by instilling, above all, a deep love for the English language.
